The effects of space mimicked a normal sedentary lifestyle. As a result the group fed Resveratrol did not experience loss of bone density, decreased insulin resistance, or loss of muscle mass over time because of a lack of exercise.
According to Gerald Weissmann, M.D., “Resveratrol benefits may not be a substitute for exercise, but it could slow deterioration until someone can get moving again.”
The same scenario applies if you spend all day in front of a computer. Resveratrol benefits slows the gradual deterioration your body undergoes when you don’t get enough exercise. It isn’t the only answer – nothing replaces a healthy diet and regular exercise long-term.

Resveratrol stops the growth of breast cancer cells by blocking estrogen and actually reduced existing cells in lab studies. The results for prostate cancer were even higher.
There was an 87% reduction in prostate cancer risk for mice treated with Resveratrol. Of the subjects who already had cancer, 48% responded to Resveratrol benefits treatments administered in food – a complete stop or drastic slow-down of cancer cell growth and spreading.
